Nivedita Bijlani: President

NiveditaHello NetIP members, members-to-be and friends. First of all, "Thank You" for taking the time and reading this. It is exactly what I did last year before I joined NetIP-Columbus and here I am today! In one year NetIP gave me so much (personal, social and professional support) that being president and carrying the legacy is the least I can do for NetIP in return. Apart from NetIP, during the day I pretend to be busy by playing "doctor-in-training," at Mount Carmel Hospital's Internal Medicine Residency Program. In my spare time I focus on learning, socializing, relaxing on beaches that Columbus does not have and being a mom to my 7 year old daughter who is going on 30. (Her name is Sushmita and you can see mini-me on my Facebook pictures). I can keep writing about me here, but there is a word limit I cannot exceed, so come and meet me in person by joining one of our events!

My vision for NetIP is to bring in as many people from different fields and backgrounds and learn about "life" from them. For all current and new people in Columbus, I want "you" to come and share your professional, personal experiences and most importantly your time with all other members and help make this chapter a success.

Warning: My humor runs at a first grade level so be prepared, I am a quite a "goof-ball"

Jatin Batra : Community Chair

Jatin

Namaste to all NetIP well wishers! My name is Jatin Batra and I currently work as Business Systems Analyst for Chase Home Finance here in Columbus. I was introduced to NetIP couple year ago after work brought me to this city. Having served at various different leadership positions during my college life in Minnesota State University, I always craved for a strong social network along my work schedule that could help me meet new people and contribute to the local community. NetIP warmly welcomed me and introduced me to some real nice and fun loving people from various backgrounds and made me feel part of this one big happy family from day one!

Besides spending time with NetIP, I keep my social life busy by playing Cricket for Columbus Cricket Club during weekends. I believe in living life in its moment and not really worrying too much about past or the future. I also believe that the more you give out to the community, the more it gives back to you!

My work and social life has brought me much closer to this exciting Buckeye nation and I couldn't have asked for a better position to help serve the local community. As a Community Service Chair for NetIP Columbus Chapter 2010, I plan on working with various social and volunteer groups of Columbus and help organize at least couple events each quarter. I am highly excited and looking forward to a great year ahead with the Kick-Ass board and Rockin' members list and I am sure we can all keep up NetIP's reputation going as set by the hard work and dedication of the past boards. Please do not hesitate in reaching out to me if you have any suggestion/idea on how we can serve the community better. All ideas are gracefully appreciated!
